Wairakei House

Wairaki, New Zealand

Our concept was a collection of buildings reminiscent of a farm manor. A stone anchor building was created to allow the modern glass like pavilion to hinge off. A large court yard flanked with sleeping quarters contains this out door space. As the property often has large gatherings attention was made to ensure the building could open up to the external environment with level seamless access.
